Cultivating Holistic Opportunities for Student Empowerment Naturally (C.H.O.S.E.N.)
Mentorship Program is a comprehensive training and engagement program that provides individuals with an opportunity for improvement in every area of their lives. The C.H.O.S.E.N. Program
strives to improve the academic achievement, self-esteem, social competence, life adjustment skills, and avoidance of problem/high-risk behavior by providing a relationship with a caring mentor who works to help mentees achieve their potential. We provide hands-on education/training and assistance that will enable individuals to improve every area of their lives. The C.H.O.S.E.N. Mentorship Program provides in-depth assessments and a consultation with each mentee, then provides mentors with the background and skills to meet their educational and personal needs.
The C.H.O.S.E.N. Mentorship Program Staff will conduct in-depth analysis and needs assessments for each mentee and prescribe a program specifically for them. The purpose of the Needs Assessment is to determine and address needs, or “gaps”, between current conditions and desired conditions or “wants”. The discrepancy between the current condition and wanted condition must be measured to appropriately identify the need. We want to meet the mentee at their level of need and give them every opportunity to exceed their own expectations.
